Field Service
|
- KMC has servicemen available for field service throughout the world. These servicemen regularly do emergency repairs, routine annual maintenance trips, and mill disassembly/reassembly for Roll Set Jobs and Roll Set Switches. In this type of service trip, the customer is charged on a portal-to-portal basis from New York.
- KMC also has prescheduled service trips to the West Coast, Cincinnati/Tennessee, and to Texas. On these trips, our service team normally consists of four or five servicemen, and our teams are domiciled in appropriate cities as required. The customer is charged on a portal-to-portal basis from the domicile. In this way, airfare, per diem, etc., are not charged, and expenses are kept to a minimum.
- KMC schedules two trips to the West Coast each year. Our domicile cities are Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. In 2001, our trips are scheduled for March and for September.
- KMC schedules two trips to Texas each year. Our domicile cities are Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Houston. In 2001, our trips are scheduled for January and July.
- KMC scheduled two trips to Cincinnati/Tennessee each year. Our domicile cities are Cincinnati, Nashville, Chattanooga, and Memphis. In 2001, our trips are scheduled for April and October.
- The manager of our Three Roll Mill Shop will also visit these domicile cities at least twice each year. These trips are sales/inspection trips required to organize our service trips, as well as doing plant inspections. There is no charge for a KMC Inspection Trip. The customer will receive a written Three Roll Mill Inspection Report, a written Plan of Attack, and written Proforma Invoices for the work that our manager recommends.
