1-Bosch Automatic Horizontal Continuous AMPOULE Cartoner, Model CUK1060A, new 1996, S/N 775514MS1001W. This machine is capable of speeds up to 160 per minute. Minimum carton dimensions are 34 mm x 15 mm x 75 mm and max dimensions are 120 mm x 85 mm x 210 mm. General machine arrangement includes product infeed, leaflet assembly, carton feed magazine, electrical control cabinet, Nordson Hotmelt Glue System, insertion barrels and cam area, closing area, and discharge. The product is fed to the machine via a product chain. The control system of the machine assigns to each product a carton taken from the carton magazine. The carton is removed from the magazine via a rotor; it is erected, opened, and transferred to the carton transport chain. In the inserting range, the open carton and the product are brought together. During transportation, the product is inserted into the carton via a push-in tappet. Then the full carton is closed in the closing assembly. The cartons can be closed by tucking in the flap as well as by glueing. In this case, a hotmelt unit is necessary. Leaflets can be folded and inserted via an additional device. The entire machine can be supplied with many different controlling and supervising devices. A modular assembly of the components guarantees the universal use of the cartoning machine. The machine is designed specifically for ampoule cartoning. Product and carton chain are parallel to each other and run synchronically. The product chain transports the ampoules into the inserting range where the carton chain has positioned a carton exactly in the insertion range. A leaflet can be optionally fed synchronically by the leaflet chain. The insertion is carried out cautiously and continuously by push-in tappets.
