1-Mengibar Pump Insertion and Capping Monoblock, Model B1/P1/R, S/N 307018. This unit features:
- Mengibar rotary indexing capping monoblock designed to insert dosing pumps at speeds up to 40 cpm ( could accommodate eye dropper)
- Operating principle: containers are fed via infeed conveyor into the main starwheel. There is a sensor on the infeed conveyor which detects adequate container presence which stops and restarts the machine automatically. Once a container has entered the starwheel, it indexes to the inserting station. The pumps are fed into the machine via a vibratory pump feeder chute (not currently included) or can be manually placed. When a container is detected at the insertion station, a positioning funnel closes around the neck of the container and aligns the dip tube as the pump descends preventing misalignment between the dip tube and the neck of the container. There is a container sensor (no container, no insertion) at this station. Once the pump is inserted, the starwheel indexes to the capping station. The capping head locks on the pump and tightens the pump to the set torque level. Once completed the capping head rises and starwheel indexes to the outfeed conveyor.
