Specifications as follows:
Design: The LAF hoods are designed to accept low profile separatorless Dimplepleat® gel seal HEPA filters. The filters are changeable from the room side after removal of the protective grille. Each filter is protected by a 40% open area perforated stainless steel grille with a #4 mill finish.
Air Movement Components: The LAF hoods are equipped with Twin City Fan, Model 221 fans to provide air movement. The fans are direct drive with a 22-3/4" dia. forward curved style Aluminum Airfoil wheel. The fan is constructed of painted carbon steel and is sized to deliver a uniform velocity of 150 FPM with a capacity for an additional 1.0" water gauge pressure drop due to filter loading. The fan is statically and dynamically balanced. The fan assembly is mounted on 1" deflection springs. The fan outlet is sealed to the plenum utilizing a flexible boot to help isolate vibrations. Motors are Baldor EM 3770T 7.5HP, 1800 RPM, 9.5 FLA, 460V, 3 Ph., 1.15 S.F. insulation Class F, TEFC, with T-Stats embedded in windings.
Electrical Systems: The LAF hoods are provided with integrated electrical components. The electrical package consists of an integral electrical panel with a lockable disconnect switch, an on/off blower switch, an on/off light switch, a Photohelic differential pressure switch, a three bulb fault alarm light, and an alarm horn with silence button. Conduit is hot dip galvanized intermediate steel or rigid steel. Blowers and lights are connected using flexible liquid tight metal conduit with sufficient length to allow for removal for service. HEPA Filters: The HEPA Filers are Flanders Filters, Model 0-007-2-19-06-PG-52-00-E1386 pharmaceutical grade separatorless, low profile Dimple Pleats. HEPA Filters are extruded aluminum frame with a boron silicate microfiber media and blu-jel seal. Filters are scan tested for pin hole leaks. The filters are factory tested and labeled to insure a minimum efficiency of 99.99% on 0.3 micron challenge particles.
