1-Fitzpatrick Vacuum Deaeration System. This vacuum deaeration system is utilized to achieve increased production rates and compaction efficiencies of aerated low bulk density powders. The system features a rotary vane vacuum pump with dual filters ahead of the pump with a (10 micron rated) element "pre-filter" which will retain the majority of the dust and has a relatively low cost for routine replacement. The second filter has a HEPA (.03 micron rated) element and will retain any dust that passes by the first and has an efficiency rating 99.99%. Vacuum pump can maintain 15" of HG (0.5 bar). Four separate vacuum points are provided with individual diaphragm Solenoid valves. The air drawn from the powder is conveyed via flexible tubing and SS piping to the vacuum pump. The system also features a nitrogen injection system designed to introduce nitrogen into the dust laden air stream, thus suppressing a potential explosion hazard. The entire system is contained in a stainless steel portable cabinet.
